During the 2022 EHP Conference in Brussels were announced the winners of the anniversary edition of the Student Awards.
The Evaluation Committee composed of 8 academic and industry representatives from the DHC+ Platform assessed all applications received and selected the top three submissions.
On the second place, Selva Veronica Calixto, a Eurac Research collaborator that is currently working in LIFE4HeatRecovery Project, with the paper "Techno-economic tool for the evaluation of neutral-temperature district heating and cooling networks and individual solutions"
The other winners:
1st place winner: Frank Wendel (Institute of Energy Economics and Rational Energy Use, University of Stuttgarth, DE) – Paper on "Energetic Refurbishment vs. Network expansion? – Change of District Heating Network Expansion Capabilities due to Efficiency Enhancement Potentials using Probabilistic Building-Specific Heat Demand Simulations"
3rd place winner: Lucia Doyle (HafenCity Universityhas, DE) – Paper on "The use of diisocyanates required for polyurethane manufacturing has been restricted. Which insulation will district heating pipes use?"
All winners will publish their articles in the International EuroHeat&Power Magazine (issue III-IV 2022).
